Overview:
ROK has several functions. The freeware
version helps to create the Info file needed to pack your own ReFills. The
registered version adds a database facility so you can find the sounds you
need quickly. Users can share scoring templates and the more popular ReFills
can be made available as "pre-filled" templates.
Freeware version:
The freeware version is mainly an NFO creator for when you create your
own PropellerHeads
Reason ReFills. As well as creating and completing the proper info.txt
file needed to pack a Reason ReFill using RePacker, it also creates a proper
(HTML) Index of the contents, so people know what's in it!
These NFO files can be shared and registered ROK users can use them to
incorporate the ReFill in to their ROK database instantly.
Registered Version:
The registered version includes these additional functions;
* DATABASE. The searchable database lets you find your sounds quickly
and tells you what ReFill it is in.
The registration fee is US$ UK£ TBA.
How does it work?
ROK runs as a stand-alone program. It has very low resource demands
so you can leave it open all the time and ALT TAB to it.
It requires no installation. Just run the EXE program.
Use it first to scan the ReFill distribution folder and it will create the
info.txt as well as a ROK database module.
For databasing you can just import a
ROK file (or scan a folder).
You can add global common parameters to that job, to get you off on a flying
start (i.e. adding source, library category, Reason format, etc.).
As you use the ReFills just add any extra data to the
ROK database, for searching next time.
